Welcome to the Bio Page.

The Boogiemen are a high energy Funky, Bluesy Rock and Roll Band based out of Upstate NY. The Band stays busy touring and performing locally anywhere from 2 – 6 shows per week. Mostly performing as a Power Trio, having 3 Vocalists put on one Hell of a show. Their outstanding musicianship, teamwork and showmanship keep their audience on their feet.. The Boogiemen have done some cool shows like: The Great Northeastern Blues Festival, (Opening for The Fabulous Thunderbirds and the notorious Night Hawks). They have also performed at Watkins Glen International Raceway and Frontier Field (Rochester Redwings baseball stadium). When witnessing The Boogiemen, you will hear high stepping originals and great covers like Stevie Ray, Carlos, Bob Marley and the Allman Brothers.

Ricky “Mustang” Wahlers: Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter. Rick’s smoking guitar licks and vocals keeps his listeners craving more from this guitar-slinging icon. His international performing experiences have led him to share stages as the opening act for such big names like: “Doobie Brothers”, “Gladys Knight”, southern rockers “The Outlaws" and “The Temptations”. His recording experiences have included him to be on CDs with Victor Wooten and Mel Bay Author: Chris Matheos. Not only is Rick a Performing Artist; he is also a highly sought after music instructor.

Randy Richmond: Drummer/Vocalist. Monster Drummer who destroys his audience’s every time !! Steve Gadd, (world renown drummer for Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, James Taylor etc. etc.) Says,” Randy makes me feel good every time I hear him play.” Randy has studied with the late Dave Accorso, (former drummer with Julio Aglesias and Robert Goulet). He has performed internationally with The Temptations, Joe Locke and members from Spyro Gyra to name a few. When you hear him play, you will see and feel why he’s been able to play with who’s who in the music industry. Most of all, you will see and feel what he adds to The Boogiemen.

Nate Coffey: Bass/Singer/Songwriter. Nate had no choice about his future since he was born into the music industry. His father, Bill, has had Nate playing all his life. Nate plays any instrument you put in front of him but in The Boogiemen he plays a very funky 5 string Bass. He has been in musicals and sound recordings. He has also performed 1000s of shows sharing stages with Johnny Winter, Leon Russell and Victor Wooten. Along with being an outstanding performer, Nate is also a Music Teacher. His silky smooth voice is a phenomenal addition to The Boogiemen.
